My friend’s dad invited a bunch of us for an early Christmas party when I was seven and he had us watch this movie and it literally scared me shitless. I’ve watched it way too many times in one week this week and it’s not that scary anymore, now that I’m an adult. To me it’s like a typical old action movie, but darker. I really love it!

I am by no means a Godzilla purist, and a lot of this comes from nostalgia, since I used to love the Godzilla series as a kid, but my favoeite Godzilla design will always be 1998's Godzilla.

Did our hate was the reason that this series gotten green lit for season 2, cause that's what I feel about it. These poor animators wasting their talents to make something like this. Turning Scappy into this unstoppable killer like Michael Myers is just a downright insult towards fans who're fans of the cartoon since we were kids. Mindy self inserted herself in Velma, and uses it to show spite towards people.

I love how the title calls this a kids film which just isn’t true. The film is something for adults to read and learn from. George Orwell himself had to appeal to different libraries in pressing to remove his books from the kids section.

I had also completely forgotten about the pheasant deaths! That was so dark for a kid's show; I remember watching it in the '90s, and I really loved it. For a six-year-old, this was intense drama. But I think it's a good thing that it was so dark; nature can be cruel, and it's important for children to understand that sometimes terrible things can happen for no reason and the impact that humans can have on animals.

dang, this actually seemed like a decent gag before the character stopping being ironic. these kinds of characters never work long-term, but they always try anyway and it's hard to watch. kinda reminds me of borat; it was great for one movie, but after that everyone was in on the joke so the sequel felt artificial and forced.

the end of the video highlights the greatest tragedy of the series imo. the art direction and animation are actually quite good, especially for an adult animated series, but the writing is so unbelievably abysmal that the visuals are difficult to appreciate. i hope the same animation team gets a real project after velma gets taken behind the shed, i think they could make something really special with an actual script with passion behind it.
